Bristol-based punk trio Grandmas House have returned with the short but sweet new single, ‘How does it feel?’. Coming in at just under two minutes, it has a lot to prove in a short space of time, and it absolutely delivers. Furious drums collide with the thumping bassline and gritty guitar tone to forge the perfect accompaniment to Yasmin Berndt’s punchy lead vocals, sung in both French and English. They describe the track as “a call and response between two people about the feelings of confusion you go through when breaking up. Sang in both French and English it is an explosion of queer angst and emotion.” Grandma’s House have found a devoted following since bursting onto the scene in 2020 - you can see them live around the UK in March 2023. -Dan Peeke.
